The mission of our organisation is to help people with different types of disabilities.

The aim and purpose of our activities is the integration of people with disabilities into society and the community, their return to active life, their inclusion in the educational or work process, the expansion of self-sufficiency, the achievement of greater self-sufficiency, independence, self-confidence, freedom and security. All this with the help of specially trained dogs in the Help Comes on Four Paws project.

 

Who are we?

Bloc to meet the requirements of the highest international standards in providing this type of service. It was accredited for full membership in international organisations that associate providers of these services – Assistance Dogs Europe and Assistance Dogs International.

Helppes helps people with various types of disabilities on their path to integration, self-sufficiency and independence through specially trained dogs. Helppes provides a full range of related services – from the applicant’s selection of a specially trained dog, to the dog’s education and training, handover and training with the dog, and subsequent support throughout the dog’s active service. Helppes provides all its services with the help of a professional team that consists not only of experts in dog training, but also of workers with professional background in working with people with disabilities. The services are provided in accordance with international standards, which place the highest demands on all employees, collaborators and volunteers.

Dog training is carried out under the direction of Zuzana Daušová – a long-time holder of the gold badge of the exemplary trainer of the 1st degree, international champion of Austria and Slovakia in dog performance, winner of many national and international “dog” competitions, 2-time participant of the Belgian Shepherd Dog World Championship.

Helppes is a two-time recipient (2016, 2019) of the NAUTIS Honorary Recognition for work with people with PAS.

In two years (2013 and 2014), Helppes has won the Public Award in the “Non-profit Organisation of the Year” competition and received a certificate for “Healthily Managed NGO” from the Civil Society Development Foundation, which organised the competition in 2013″. These certificates confirm that we are performing our work at a very high level, which was appreciated not only by the expert jury, but also by the public”.

Helppes is the only organisation in the Czech Republic to have been awarded a certificate by the global organisation Delta Society.

Helppes is a member of the Association for Social Responsibility.
